Join us in Giving Him No Rest

"For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace, for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns. The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord will name. You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the Lord delights in you and your land shall be married... And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you. I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest until He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.... And they shall call them The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord; and you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken." -Isaiah 62:1-7, 12

Uganda has been called the "Pearl of Africa"- it is a gorgeous country: awash with vibrant colors, balmy, tropical temperatures, and warm, loving people. There is much to love about this amazing country. And yet the world looks in on Uganda, and Africa as a whole, and sees only war lords, poverty, aids, malaria, and orphans. But God sees Uganda as a country of promise and potential! He won't rest until she shines with His righteousness- and neither should we! The world sees danger and poverty- but we see hope.

God has HUGE plans for Uganda- and WGM is on the front-lines training local pastors to reach their own people. It is so exciting to be on the cusp of such a grand adventure! We still aren't sure yet what our specific assignment will be- but as we wait and listen for God's specific calling- we covet your prayers. Whatever God calls us to do, we will need your prayers and your financial support. We need men and women who will "never hold their peace day or night, who will not keep silent, nor give Him rest", until He does all that He longs to do in and through Uganda.
