the Word... the Life...the Light... the Promised One

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness..." -John 1:1, 4, 5

"We need today a fresh spirit of anticipation that springs out of the promises of God." - A.W. Tozer (thanks, Jamie!)

As we wait, He is meeting us. His glory is coming and we are basking in the glow. He is often slow, and sometimes we are tempted to pass Him by, or brush Him off- tragically we sometimes even tune Him out... but He is faithful. He is coming. He is answering. He is working.

What are the hard things you are trusting God for? Where are those weaknesses you are trusting Him to be strong for? How are you at the end of yourself and at just the very beginning of Him?? We would love to hear your story of His sufficiency- there is joy and encouragement in singing His praises together!

Here are some promises we are clinging to these days:

My current memory verses from Bible Study:
"They will be My people and I will be their God. I will give them singleness of heart and action so that they will always fear Me for their own good, and the good of their children after them. I will make an everlasting covenant with them; I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear Me, so that they will never turn away from Me. I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all My heart and soul." -Jeremiah 32:38-41
