There is always something to be thankful for. Friday was a little rough- stuck in a hail storm, having a meeting after school and the boys melting down, my car not starting and so having to be late to the meeting, and making Josh late for youth group.
I told Josh in jest, that our lost Christmas package would salvage this day... lo and behold.. it was waiting for us! Jesus is always right on time! Who knew that a very late Christmas package would be such a happy thing!
7094. And then it was Christmas! Again! Not only did our last Christmas package arrive last week...
7095. but it was hailing... use your imagination... it's as close as we get to
snow here on the equator!
7096. We got to skype with Grammy and Poppy and thank them for their gifts (sent on Nov 20!).
Each gift was a hit!
7097. And to top this happy weekend off- we grilled out. Nothing says Christmas in Uganda like burgers on the grill :) Tasted like home. We're grateful.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog, and not just because you're using the same background as my book review blog. Great stuff here.
ReplyDeleteWe just received a Christmas box from each grandma this past week, too, so we cranked up the a/c in the bedroom and tried to pretend it was December in SC. Always great to get goodies from home! Gonna go look around your site some more now....
