He is near.

Happy Sabbath, Church!

It is such a comfort to know that when we are going through dark times, God continues to see us, love us, and provide for us!

Today's readings: Revelation 12, Esther 2, Psalm 105:26-45

"The people asked, and He brought quail, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven, He opened the rock and water gushed out; it ran in dry places like a river. For He remembered His holy promise...He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness...Praise the Lord!" -Psalm 105:40-43

God doesn't promise that our lives will be easy. In fact, His own people lived in slavery, and then wandered in the wilderness for 40 years... dark times for God's people! But He never left them alone in the dark. He always guided them. Always provided for their needs. Period. He doesn't leave His children high and dry. He walks with us in the darkness. And eventually, the sun begins to shine again, and we feel joy creep into our souls. Wherever you are in the spectrum of life- sitting in deep darkness... or enjoying the light of true joy- know that God is with you. And if you are in a good place, extend your hand and your heart to those who are in need; comfort the broken-hearted. If you are in a dark place, know that you are not alone; and just receive the love God shows you through His people.

And each of us- no matter what our circumstances- can praise the Lord. For He is good. For He never leaves us. For He provides all we need.

Clinging to Him,
Kelly
