Our HUGE God!

Good morning, Church!

We serve a great God! Let us worship Him together today!

Today's readings: 1 Thessalonians 2:1-16, Isaiah 14-16, Psalm 113

"The Lord is high above all nations, His glory above the heavens. Who is like the Lord our God, who dwells on high, who humbles Himself to behold the things that are in the heavens and in the earth? He raises the poor out of the dust; and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, that He may seat him with princes- with the princes of His people. He grants the barren woman a home, like a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!" -Psalm 113:4-9

Wow- ponder that phrase for a moment- God "humbles Himself to behold the things that are in the heavens". We haven't even seen the outermost edge of the universe... and yet He has to stoop to see that very edge! Let that reality soak in for a minute. And now consider the very mundane details of your life... He is interested in every one of them...how does that make you feel? The God who crafted our immense universe, and named every star... knows you intimately, and loves you passionately. Whoa.

Take some time to bask in that truth. And then pour out your heart to the Lord. That is worship.

In awe of Him,
Kelly
