Fa lala lala la la la la!

This morning's reading is about the "Future Glory of Zion"... and none of that would be possible without Jesus coming and redeeming His people! Take some time to ponder the wonderful things that are in your life and in store for you in heaven because of Jesus!

Today's reading: Isaiah 35

"The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; it shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, even with joy and singing...Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert." Isaiah 35:1-2, 5-6

Blossom abundantly...rejoice...with joy... and singing... Now that is the picture of Christmas that I love! One of my favorite holiday things to do is sing Christmas carols... I even like to go caroling- but I can't usually find anyone else to go with me :) There is so much hope and promise in the birth of Jesus... a tiny bundle of potential (as all babies are)! But the birth of Jesus made the future glory of Zion possible. God's people had gone astray time and again... they never learned from their mistakes... God even called them a "stiff-necked people"! And yet He still had hope for them. He sent His Son to make their relationship whole again- He sent Jesus so that He might display His love for all to see and experience. If that doesn't make you want to sing... I don't know what will! So turn up the Christmas carols and sing with joy today for all that the birth of Jesus made possible... ultimately your salvation! He is so good to us!

With carols on my lips,
Kelly
