Press pause

Christmas is just over a week away- and I am sure some of you are wondering how your to do list is going to get done in time. But even though it may seem counter-productive to sit a spend some time with Jesus when there is so much to do... I believe it will be the most rewarding time of your day, and indeed may even make you more effective!

Today's reading: John 1:14-18
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth...And of His fullness we have all received..." -John 1:14,16

Today I just want us to pause in the glorious, and gracious presence of our Lord. I know so many are stressed and busy- but I want you to put that aside, and just be. Do you believe that Christmas will still happen without you? Do you believe that life will go on if you fail to bake that last dozen cookies, or have to wrap a picture of a gift arriving late in the mail? It isn't Sabbath, but God does call us to pause each day and rest in Him. Trust Him enough to put your to do list on pause, and spend some time with Him.

Set your timer for 5 minutes! Behold His glory. Enjoy His sweetness. Receive all the fullness of His grace.
