Do you Trust Him?

Good Morning, Church!

If you are anything like me, you sometimes have trouble trusting God. But there is a formula to help us learn to trust Him!

"You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord; He is their help and their shield. The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us, He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who fear the Lord, both small and great." -Psalm 115:11-13

If you will devote yourself to learning more about God, you will fall more in love with Him. As you fall more in love with Him, and who He is, you will be able to trust Him more. That is the "formula" for trusting God- it is simple to understand- but difficult to put into practice because it takes a lot of time. But it is the best time you will ever spend! He has proven Himself trustworthy over and over in Scripture and in our own lives- so study His track record. And focus on Him, instead of on your circumstances! Whatever you focus on grows larger in your mind's eye- so if you are dwelling on your situation, it will grow out of proportion and overwhelm you. If you are dwelling on God, and who He is and has been, He will grow larger and it will be easier to trust in Him and rest in your relationship with Him. The harder you fix your eyes on Him, the more He will overshadow your problems. He is big enough to handle your deepest sorrow, or your most dire need. He is strong enough to answer your strongest doubt, and carry you when you can't go any further. He is kind enough to see you through Jesus' righteousness, and patient enough to pick you up every time you stumble. He has resources enough to pay your every bill, and feed each hungry mouth at your table. He is trustworthy. Praise Him for that today! '

Holding Him to His promises,
Kelly
