Prayers for the Gruber Family

I am sad to write today, that Amanda Gruber's mother passed away in her home yesterday. Please join me in lifting up her family in prayer. Amanda is a faithful member of our youth group; her mother had cancer. Even in these dark times, we can still praise the Lord- He doesn't change- and in fact He is the only One we can look to for strength and comfort!

Today's readings: Revelation 10, Nehemiah 13, Psalm 104:24-35

"These all wait for You, that You may give them their food in due season. What You give them they gather in, You open Your hand, they are filled with good. You hide Your face, they are troubled; You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust. You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth. May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in His works... I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to God while I have my being." -Psalm 104:27-31, 33

This passage describes how God takes care of all living things. And as sure as the animals can depend on Him for shelter, and food- even more so, we can depend on our Father in times of need. In this time of sorrow and loss, we wait for You, God, to give us comfort and hope in due season. As anyone who has lost a loved one knows- there are times of intense pain, and times of numbness- and it may take weeks and months and years to walk through the grieving process. Even through our tears we can sing praise to God, for His nearness to the broken-hearted, and for His blessing on those who mourn. As the Gruber family takes their hurts to Jesus- please continue to pray for God's comfort, and His guidance in this sad time. Thank you for joining me today as we lift them up.

With a heavy heart,
Kelly
