this might be how we feel about moving a family of five to Africa. |
It has been easier and harder this second HMA (Homeland Ministry Assignment)- it's been shorter- our first HMA was t.w.o. y.e.a.r.s. long. And we only had to raise half our budget this time. But I think our expectations were too high- so when we hung out at 60% for months, it took it's toll. And then we got to 80% and God told us to stop fighting. What?! I'm a doer. I like getting things done. I can have a very toddler-esque "I can do it mineself!" attitude at times. And so, He wanted all the glory. He said He would fight for us. And we have reluctantly stepped out of the limelight, so He could steal our show. And He is making a way!
I shouldn't be surprised. He is good. He's got this. Thank you for being a part of our story. Thank you for carrying us this year. Please don't stop! We've got an incredible four year journey ahead of us! Can't wait to keep you posted!
